As part of the Entertainment Law: Theory Meets Practice 2014 series we are delighted to welcome David Griffiths, also known as King Cnut and fresh from a sold out run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2013, to the University of Westminster.
C U in Court is the extraordinary true story of how award winning comedian Dave Griffiths obsessively fought clothing giant French Connection for his right to wear his Cnut t-shirts on stage. An incredible David vs Goliath story exposing the the unbelievable double standards, intimidation and ruthlessness of huge corporations of huge corporations.
The Show got a great review in the Independent on Sunday and Guy Osborn from the Centre for Study of Law, Society and Popular Culture had this to say about the show: “Dave Griffiths dances on the edge of law and fashion and his show, as well as being extremely funny, tells us something very important about corporate power and freedom of expression.”
David has agreed to perform his award winning show C U In Court for us on 6th March 2014 at 6pm at our Little Titchfield Street site.
All welcome.
